Villa Curtains
Villa curtains measured room by room across the house
A villa is not twenty separate curtain decisions. It is one scheme that has to hold together as you walk through it, made of rooms that each want something different. Doing it window by window as the mood takes you is how a house ends up looking like four houses. We measure the whole villa in one visit and quote it room by room, so you can see what each room costs and stage the work if you want to. Most clients do the reception rooms and the master bedroom first, then the rest. What changes from room to room: the majlis and the formal reception want weight and structure, usually triple pinch pleat or goblet pleat in velvet, jacquard or heavy linen, lined to protect the fabric through the day. Bedrooms want blackout, ceiling-fixed, with proper overlap, and a sheer in front if the room is used in the daytime. The family living area wants two layers, because it is in use from morning to night. Kitchens and bathrooms want a blind rather than a curtain. Stairwell and double-height glazing wants a motorised track, because nothing else is safe to reach. What should stay the same: the fabric family, the heading in rooms that are visible from each other, and the track type. That is what makes a house read as one house. Dubai villas bring their own problems. Double-height windows need engineered tracks and interlining so a four-metre drop still hangs in a straight column. West elevations fade fabric faster than any other, so mid-tones and good lining matter more there. Large sliding doors onto a terrace need the stack to clear the glass completely, or you lose the view you paid for.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you quote a whole villa in one visit?
Yes. We measure every window in one visit and give you an itemised quotation room by room, so you can see what each room costs and stage the work if you prefer.
Should every room in the villa have the same curtains?
No, but they should come from the same family. The majlis and reception rooms want weight and structure, bedrooms want blackout, kitchens and bathrooms want blinds. Keeping the fabric family, the heading and the track type consistent in rooms that are visible from each other is what makes a house read as one house.
Can you handle double-height windows?
Yes. Above about three metres the track engineering and the interlining matter more than the fabric, and these windows are usually best motorised because nothing else is safe to reach.
Which rooms should we do first?
Most clients start with the majlis or reception and the master bedroom, because those are the rooms guests see and the room you notice every morning. The rest can follow.
How long does a whole villa take?
It depends on the number of windows and the fabric lead time. We give you a date in writing with the quotation rather than a general range, and we can phase delivery so finished rooms are usable while the rest are made.
Do you also do the sofas, carpets and panelling?
Yes. We make sofas and majlis seating, supply carpets and rugs, and do wallpaper and wall panelling, so a villa can be done as one package with one point of contact.
Which areas do you cover?
All of Dubai and the wider UAE. Our showroom and workshop are in Al Khawaneej.
